SARAH SIMPSON
FILM & TELEVISION PRODUCTION
GET TO KNOW ME
Hi! I'm Sarah Simpson and I'm a senior Film Production major at The Pennsylvania State University, also pursuing Minors in Journalism and Spanish. I'm from a small town in Westmoreland County, just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Growing up, I always loved watching television shows and films and hoped to make my own someday. I began studying video production my freshman year of high school and haven't been able to put a camera down since. I am the President of my university's student-run television network, Penn State Network Television (PSNtv). Additionally, I am the Director of PSN News, a live weekly news broadcast produced by PSNtv. I am currently a member of the Centre County Report,
where I also direct weekly newscasts using Ross 'Overdrive' technology.
After I graduate in Spring 2022, I plan on pursuing a career in video production
in either the television or film industries, primarily directing. I am also open to
entry-level roles in production, camera work, video editing, and writing.
