GET TO KNOW ME

Hi! I'm Sarah Simpson and I'm a senior Film Production major at the Pennsylvania State University,

also pursuing Minors in Journalism and Spanish. I grew up in a small town in Westmoreland County,

just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Growing up, I always loved watching television shows and films

and hoped to make my own someday. I began studying video production my freshman year of

high school and haven't been able to put a camera down since. I am the President of my university's student-run television network, Penn State Network Television (PSNtv). Additionally, I am the Director of PSN News, a live weekly news broadcast produced by PSNtv. I am currently a member of

Centre County Report, where I also direct weekly newscasts using Ross technology. In my free time,

I enjoy playing the ukulele, singing, and participating in my university's color guard, the Blue Band Silks.

After I graduate in Spring 2022, I plan on pursuing a career in video production

in either the television or film industries, primarily directing. I am also open to

entry-level roles in production, camera work, video editing, and writing.
